FAQ

FAQ on Concierge Medical Services

1. What is Concierge Medicine?
It is a premium medical practice in which the physician devotes greater time to the patient’s individual needs. The practice emphasizes the highest quality healthcare as well as service and convenience, all designed to keep you in optimum health.
2. How does it differ from a traditional practice?
In a traditional Internal Medicine practice doctors are typically responsible for 2500 to 4000 patients. In a Concierge Medical practice, the number of patients in the practice is limited to several hundred. This improves your access to the doctor. Appointments can be scheduled same day or next business day. Appointment times are longer so that medical issues can be addressed more thoroughly.
3. How much does it cost to be a member of Be Well Medical Group?
We charge an annual fee comparable to other concierge medicine programs in order to provide our clients with personalized and superior access to our team of physicians. The fee enables our doctors to ensure that they are available to our clients on their schedule. Every client’s needs are different and we structure a program tailored to each individual. Please contact us today to create a program made especially for you.
4. How does the concierge fee work with Health insurance?
Our program should be utilized in coordination with any health insurance you carry. Our program is not an insurance plan and we recommend that our clients carry health insurance.
5. Will my insurance pay for or reimburse me for my Concierge Physician Associates monthly care fee?
No. Concierge Physician Associates monthly care fees are not reimbursable by any health insurance company, nor are they reimbursable by Medicare or Medicaid. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) your monthly care fees may be eligible for reimbursement. However, they will not likely count towards any annual deductible. Please check with your plan administrator.
6. What if I get admitted to the hospital?
Your physician will coordinate care with which ever hospital you are admitted to and will stay abreast in all that is going on during your hospitalization.
7. What if I need specialty care?
Our staff will work to coordinate your care with a specialist for ease of continuity of care.
8. Can I take my physician with me on vacation?
We can offer physician accommodated travel as an additional service. Please contact our office for more information and to make arrangements.
9. Will my physician visit me at my home or office?
Yes, your physician will be happy to make home or office visits during business hours.
