Dr. Lisa Ashe is one of the leading board certified internal medicine physicians serving the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia region. Dr. Ashe has traveled nationwide serving patients in multiple clinical environments. She is also a local minister at the Alfred Street Baptist Church, specializing in promoting spiritual, mental and physical health.
In 2015, Dr. Ashe noticed a lapse within the current healthcare industry: many of the critical needs of patients were not being addressed due to limitations imposed by physicians or insurance providers. In an effort to simplify the healthcare process and provide better care to patients, she launched the Be Well Medical Group with a primary focus on supporting the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of patients in a simple, modern way. Today, Be Well is one of the top local concierge medical practices, providing patients high-touch membership access to doctors that truly addresses their every concern.
Dr. Ashe was previously the Medical Director at Doctors Community Hospital where she was responsible for the daily activities of the Clinical Decision and Observation Units. Today, she can be found serving patients at Be Well Medical Group and sharing medical opinion and advice on top television networks, including FOX and ABC News, and radio shows, such as Tom Joyner morning show.
Dr. Ashe received a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Thereafter, she completed her internship at Georgetown University, and her residency at George Washington University and Providence Hospital in Washington, DC. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and American College of Physicians. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, a service sorority and graduated from the Masters of Divinity program at the Virginia Union University Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology in May 2017.
